Pre-Upgrade instructions:

Procedure to Install and Root  XXJVQ 2.3.4 Firmware on Samsung Galaxy S GT 19000

  1. After you have updated and rooted this firmware you need to download the Gingerbread  Version Extra Ordinary 3.3 ROM Zip in your computer and if not extracting the same you need to copy thus zip file to your device that you can do by connecting the device to the computer and then copy it.
  2. After placing this file you need to remove the phone from the USB cable that was connected with the computer. In your phone go to “Applications” then type and find for the “CWM” application that is the Clock Work Mod Recovery.
  3. Then select the option of “Install Zip” in the Clock Work Mod and then you need to select the Zip package of the one that you placed in the device. Then you can see that the phone will be rebooting and have to wait to update the zip file selected.
  4. Take note that this firmware is powered by the “Darky’s ROM and Voodoo. It will take almost 10 minutes for the updating procedure and see to it than until you see the home screen Samsung Galaxy S GT 19000 and do not interrupt the process or turn off the phone for it will brick it.
  5. After the device is turned “On” it will take a minute to switch it “On” and show the language options: Take 10 minutes to show up as it converts the file format to the RFS that is very efficient and provides faster user experience.
  6. Great, you have installed the ROM, on the home screen, proceed to press the button power and select the option “Recovery” after the phone will go into the recovery mode. Then clear/wipe all the cache and clear the partition and this will clear off all the cache files. Take note that do not proceed to clear the “DALVIK CACHE” it will wipe off all the crucial files that you want to play with.

Now you have successfully finished installing and rooting the XXXJVQ 2.3.4 Firmware in your Samsung Galaxy S GT 19000. You can now enjoy all the newest applications that are installed and you can see that there are various different apps that you can use.
