For last two years there has been a hustle in tablet market for the most economical tablet. After every 3-4 months in last two years, we have seen different companies launching cheap tablets. The first one was the Indian Govt. that showcased a 35$ tablet which was never made. Many people, in fact students thought of buying that tablet, but the project got cancelled after a few months. Then, Olive Telecom came in the market. The company offered a tablet for just 18000 Rs. and became the most economical tablet for a long period. Reliance then joins the tablet brigade with the new tablet priced at 12,990 Rs. in India. Another tablet for just Rs. 9999, launched by Beetal attracts crowd.
According to the latest update, a new company LACS has come up with the range of Tablets and that too most economical. Lakshmi Access Communication Systems joins the Tablets market specially designed to pamper common man. The price range of the Tablets starts at just Rs 6250.
The company launches the tablets in 3 sizes, 7, 8 and 10 inches screen sizes. In total there are 12 tablet models, which are grouped into four series containing 3 models in each with at least a difference of screen size and resolution.
Pepper Model Series
This is the most basic model series and the tablets in this series have basic features with the least prices making it the most economical tablet. In all the three models, there is a 800 MHz processor installed, Wi-Fi facility, camera on the upper side, compatible to 3G and supports 3.5mm headphones. The Tablet provides connectivity through Ethernet LAN, the memory provided is of 2GB however expandable up to 32GB using microSD card. The higher models also have features like HDMI and GPS along with the difference in screen size and resolution. All of them work on Android 2.2 Froyo operating system.
Paprika Model Series
Most of the features are same here as were there in the Pepper series. The new features are that the basic model in here also contains HDMI facility, the memory inside the Tablet is bigger than the Pepper and that is 4 GB, USB host 2.0 along with USB 2.0. Rest of the features like operating system, headset, Wi-Fi, etc. are all the way same.
Tamarind Model Series
The new thing here is the touchscreen is capacitive that makes the touch very effective. Again, the capacity of memory inside is more than the lower model Pepper and Paprika and is 8GB. Other features are very same as the paprika series.
LACS on launching the most economicaltablet now have a plan to reach the people by opening up shops and showrooms in the cities of India. The company is offering free upgrade to latest models by just exchanging present model with new one and paying difference.
