The cost of Google Nexus S and Samsung Galaxy S is almost the same. The former is ranked bestseller while the latter is has an admirable software support. However, there are some similarities between these two phones that may interest you. Display: Both of these phones have a 4 inch super AMOLED display. However, Nexus has a second model that is a little different in that it comes with a super LCD display. Again, both of these phones have a resolution of 400 by 800. Nexus S has contour display and Galaxy S has gorilla grass display.
Camera: Both of these phones have cameras of 5 megapixels. However, the Galaxy S is able to record HD video at 720p resolution. Again both support latest bands of Wi-Fi 802.11n and 802.11b/g. the difference is in the Bluetooth connection where both are enabled but Galaxy S has 3.0 while Nexus S has 2.1 with A2DP support.
Operating system and user interface: Galaxy S features the latest version of Gingerbread 2.3.3 and TouchWiz 3 user interface from Samsung. Nexus S on the other hand features stock Android 2.3.4 user interface and will be the pioneer device to receive Google updates.
Battery and processor: Both phones have 1500mAh battery. However, Galaxy S has 14 hours talk time and 713 hours standby on 2G and Nexus S has 13 hours talktime and 750 hours standby. Both phones have 512MB RAM, 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 Processor, PowerVR SGX540 GPU and Hummingbird chipset.
Extras : Galaxy S has FM Radio while Nexus S has 3 Axis Gyro senso for better game experience and a Near Field Communications chip.
