Comparison – Samsung Galaxy B7510 vs Galaxy SL I9003

Galaxy Pro B7510 and Galaxy SL I9003 are both Android phones from Samsung. How do they compare? In the following section, we will discuss how these two smartphones compare so that a user is able to make a great choice when contemplating getting one.

Display : Galaxy Pro has a 2.8 inches TFT screen with a resolution of 320 by 240 pixels. On the other hand, Galaxy SL has 4 inch LCD display with 480 by 800 pixels and a Gorilla glass.

Camera : Unfortunately, none of these phones have LED flash. Galaxy Pro has 3.25 megapixels camera with autofocus and 2048 by 1536 pixels maximum resolution. It does not have HD video recording support and no secondary video call camera. Galaxy SL on the other hand has 5 megapixels camera with autofocus with 2592 by 1944 pixels maximum resolution and 720p HD video recording and secondary VGA camera for video calls via Skype or Google Talk.

Memory : Galaxy Pro has 512MB inbuilt memory and Micro SD card slot for up to 32GB. Galaxy SL has 4GB/16GB inbuilt memory and similar MicroSD slot.

Connectivity : Both phones have the 3 HSDPA bands (900, 1900 and 2100) giving a maximum speed of 7.2Mbps; latest bands of Wi-Fi (802.11n and 802.11b/g); GPS; Bluetooth 3.0 and A2DP. However, only Galaxy SL’s Wi-fi supports DLNA.

Operating System and User Interface : Both have TouchWiz User Interface over Android. Additionally Galaxy SL can be upgraded to latest version of Gingerbread 2.3.3 so as to receive Google updates, unfortunately this cannot happen with Galaxy Pro because it has Android Froyo 2.2. The arrangement of buttons on the side is also different for these two phones.

Battery and Processor : Galaxy Pro has 1350mAh battery making for 10 to 11 hours of talk time. It also has 800Mhz processor with no GPU. Galaxy SL on the other hand has 1650mAh battery translating to 610 hours of standby time and 15 hours talk time on 2G. It has 478MB user RAM, 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and PowerVR SGX530 GPU.

Extras : Galaxy Pro is best for those who hate touch screen typing as it has full physical QWERTY keyboard. Galaxy SL has TV Out and Media improvements on its User Interface. It also comes with Swype prediction input.
