Packing all those features, HTC One S is a worth buying phone and when it comes with a superior hardware, this is just the beginning. The next step is to unlocking the device, root the device, getting recovery and installing a favorite new rom. Doing all these things is just fun and at the same time a daunting task and even techy or advanced users find it difficult to find easy methods to do these tasks.

1. Unlock HTC One S
- Register at htcdev.com to unlock your HTC One S.
- Unlock your bootloader here by following the command’s
- You can also select “All Other Supported Models”, if HTC One s is not in the list.
2. Install Recovery in HTC One S
- Download the Android SDK
- Download the Interim CWM Touch Recovery of Paul or Official CWM of koush (HTC One S)
- Now place the CWM File with the fastboot.exe
- Open cmd and navigate the folder where you have placed the cwm file.
- Now type the following commands in cmd

3. Root HTC One S
To root HTC One S with SuperSU by Chainfire, make sure that you are on Stock Kernel.
- Download SuperSu
- Now we have to flash the downloaded file via recovery.
- Power off your device and hold the VOL DOWN + Power button to enter into bootloader.
- Navigate the file via Vol and Power to Recovery.
- Now flash the .zip by selecting “install zip from sdcard ” and choose zip from sdcard
- Now select the CWN-SuperSU-v0.87.zip file and flash it
- Finally Reboot your device.
Congratulations your HTC One S is rooted now. The above steps does require a little bit extra knowledge, so make sure you read the instructions carefully before performing.
