Create a backup-Prior to do anything
Always remember to have back up all your data. When you are syncing a device along a device the Google account and then the Gmail, calendar, contacts & other selected Google data will never be lost and this will return after the following sync. But, you need to backup anything that you wish to keep which is not saved on your SD card.

It is really a great idea when you backup all things that are stored in the card SD at some instance this SD card may be formatted in order to solve all major issues.

ClockworkMod Recovery Installing
The guide presumes that the Tablet Viewsonic G has been running a version 1.1 firmware. When this Tablet Viewsonic G is rooted already and has the Recovery ClockworkMod installed already then you must disregard this section.
Warning- When you Install the practice recovery image in Tablet Viewsonic G, this might void its warranty.
- You must have the ClockworkMod package downloaded
- Then you must unzip this ClockworkMord package & have to copy its recovery folder as well as its update.zip in the root in its internal memory(that is not in the mobile SD card & not in any of the folders).
- You must have the Tablet Viewsonic G powered off and must have to reboot by holding the button Volump as well as the button Power UP until this device is already on a stock recovery.
- While the device is in a stock recovery, you must use the buttons Volume to navigate into an update .zip apply then click the button Home to have to choose it.
- After update.zip has been already applied, this Viewsonic G Tablet must now have the Recovery ClockworkMod. Please just continue on to the following section.
Cyanogen Mod Flashing
Note- To be able to have the flashing of CyanogenMod through ROM Manager, the root access must be required. To attain root access, this is out of the scope of the wiki page.
Recovery Method
- Download the newest version of the CyanogenMod,
Optional –You must download a Google Applications on the device.
- Put the file update.zip CyanogenMod on the root at the card SD
Optional- Put the Applications.zip Google in a root of a SD card too.
- Start in the Recovery ClockworkMod.
- When the device starts in the Recovery ClockworkMod, then employ the side buttons Volume to turn around, then either the trackball or the button power to choose.
Optional- Choose restore and backup to make a back up of the latest installation in the Tablet Viewsonic G.
- Choose the Factory reset/Wipe Data option.
- Then choose the Wipe Partition Cache option
- From SD card choose Install Zip
- From SD card select the Choose zip
- Choose the update.zip CyanogenMod
Optional- You must install a Google Applications by doing steps which are installing the xip card and choose the update.zip cyanogen Mod and Select the update .zip Google Applications.
- Choose ****Go Back**** in order to go back on to the menu main, then you choose the option now Reboot System. This Tablet Viewsonic G must now start in the CyanogenMod.
ROM Manager Method
- You must launch the ROMManager.
Optional- Select the option first in the application, Recovery Flash
- ClockworkMod and get the newest update version.
- Choose the option ROM download along the menu main on a ROM manager.
- Choose the option CyanogenMod, and then you select the newest version of CyanogenMod along the menu.
Optional- If you choose the newest version of CynogenMod, you must verify the option Google Apps.
- After the ROM has finished downloading, this will prompt whether you wish to Backup the Wipe Cache & Data and Existing ROM.
- When Superuser prompts you for root permission then verify to Remember then Allow.
- This Viewsonic G Tablet shall now restart in the wipe cache and data, recovery and then will install the CyanogenMod. If it is finished installing then it shall reboot in the CyanogenMod.
