How to Fix GPS on Samsung Galaxy SL i9003

Many of our readers reported issues with GPS of Samsung Galaxy SL i9003 that it only worked for 10-20 seconds after turning it ON and then turns-off automatically. Another big issue was regarding the accuracy of the geographic co-ordinates. This is something that cannot be tolerated from a GPS because people do not use it very-often until necessary.

We have come forward with two sets of solutions for GPS related issue in Samsung Galaxy SL i9003 that are discussed in the later section of this article. We recommend you to follow both of the procedure to increase the accuracy levels. No need to worry about your geographic location because those procedures are applicable worldwide but applicable only on Samsung Galaxy SL I9003. Do not attempt those any similar or different device because we are not sure about the outcome.

Fixing with help of patch:

Follow the instructions ensuring that you have Galaxy SL I9003 and not any other phone:

• Close all apps and services using GPS.
• Now switch-On the GPS
• Then dial *#*#3214789650#*#* to open the Lib Test Mode
• In the “Applications Settings”, you will need to modify the “Timeout(s)” to 100  seconds
•  After this under the “SUPL / CP Settings”, you will have to modify and configure the Server and Port number. Add “supl.google.com” as the server and the port number will be “7276”.

Now, all you require to reboot the phone for applying the changes on it.  Open the Location specific service and most probably your will not face any issue.  You can also try the procedure listed below.

Second procedure to fix GPS (Trick):

Follow the instructions and enhance GPS accuracy over Galaxy SL i9003. Have a look over this simple procedure:

No software will be required all you need is a small bit of aluminum foil available at home.  This trick is about strengthening the signals of GPS-antenna.  Place the single layer of foil over the antenna. This trick works in most of the situations helps in improving the accuracy of the GPS-coordinates. (Remember not to place a thick foil)

So, this was the fix for GPS on Samsung Galaxy SL i9003.
