Pre Requisites of Overclocking Galaxy S2 GT I9100 to 1.5 GHz:

• First, you will have to make sure that your Galaxy S2 GT I9100 is on the XWKDD 2.3.3 custom firmware.
• Download the Galaxy S2 Overclock Essentials zip file containing the Odin flash tool and the Overclock kernel.  Then extract the content of zip file to separate folder.
• Ensure availability of a compatible USB cord to connect phone with PC.
• Create backup of all necessary data present on Galaxy S2 GT I9100. Backup contacts by simply syncing with Google. Backup can also be created with help of an application named “Astro file manager”.  This backup will be required in case something goes wrong while implementation else permanent data loss may occur.
• Disable all antivirus, firewall and KIES software installed on PC. Those may hinder the process by creating conflicts.

Procedure to Overclock Samsung Galaxy S2 GT I9100 to 1.5 GHz from 1.2GHz:

• Switch off the Galaxy S2 phone, and then turn it ON in Download Mode. (Press down on Volume Down key + OK button, and holding both press the Power key).
• Visit the newly created file and execute Odin.exe file. Then connect phone to PC with help of a USB cord. Wait for a while till ID:COM box turns yellow.
• Now, click on the “PDA” and select “GalaxyS2_OC_v1.tar” file from the extracted folder.
• After this just make sure that ‘Auto Reboot’ and ‘F:Reset Time’ options are checked and ‘Re-partition’ option is Unchecked.
• Click on the Start button.
• Then after 3-4 minutes, the device will be rebooted automatically.
• After the restart you will need to download an application called “Set CPU” from the Android Market Place.
• After installation of the Set CPU app you just require to open the same to set the desired CPU frequency (lock-rate). You can also set different profiles as per your specific requirements. Simply set it to 1.5Ghz.
• Avoid overclocking the devise until necessary.
