At some point, tethering was just a simple process- in installing the program along the Android Market will enable the feature and you are good to go further. This of course, the carriers do not like, because instead of paying them the extra $30 a month in order to use their own hotspot service, you are just acquiring access into the future for free. And so they had several tethering applications being pulled along the market. Not only this, but several carriers put directly blocks on the devices that disallowed its use of general tethering applications.
Presently, you may see ‘tethering’ gracing various reasons to root your own Android device articles along the net. However, what about the users who only want to tether but are not comfortable with the rooting (or who have no wish to gain the root access)?
The manufacturer of the popular custom Clockworkmod recovery for DeskSMS and Android, the Koush is back giving yet another great handy tool. At this time, the known developer has started work in a USB tethering application for Android devices named Tether that allows you to browse the web in your own computer by using mobile plan data. The application is presently in beta, so it works well on rooted and the non-rooted devices. The thing that is even best is that, not like the other same tethering applications, Tether has the ability of bypassing the blockages or detections by your own mobile carrier. This mechanism also involves the desktop client, mobile application itself, and the USB cable which connects the Android devices into the computer.
This desktop client is now available for Windows, Linux and Mac, and may be downloaded from the link provided on the post’s bottom. After you have your own Android device connected into your computer through the USB, this mobile application may be enabled and installed in your own device along the desktop client with just a single click. And in order to disable the mobile client, just touch the large USB icon at the middle of the screen of the mobile application.
After this is finished, you just connect your own device into the computer through the USB cable, and then run Tether .exe (windows) then press the button Start. As previously mentioned this will activates and installs automatically the Tether application in your own device, thus allowing communication between your device and the desktop client. That is all about this, you can use now your mobile data plan to just enjoy browsing the internet in your computer.
Enjoy browsing while you have the Tether app to give you the best browsing experience ever!
Note- For this mechanism to work, you must also need to enable debugging USB mode in your device (Settings>Applications>Development>USB debugging, or when your own device runs the Ice Cream Sandwich, Settings>Developer options> USB Debugging).
This tethering mechanism has successfully been tested with this desktop client running in Windows 7 (64-bit) the mobile client, in HTC Desire Z.
Just hit the URL below provided for some details regarding this app, and then download this desktop client.
